Job Description

Position: Lifting Inspector
Location: Oman
Salary: OMR 600-700 + Site Allowance

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Lifting Inspector to join our team in Oman. The primary responsibility is to ensure all lifting operations comply with safety standards and regulations, conducting inspections and certifications of lifting equipment to guarantee safe and efficient usage.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough inspections of lifting equipment, including cranes, forklifts, hoists, slings, and other associated rigging gear, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Verify that all lifting equipment is properly maintained and fit for operational use.
Issue certifications for equipment following successful inspections and provide recommendations for any necessary maintenance or repairs.
Work closely with lifting operators, supervisors, and site management to advise on safe lifting practices and correct use of equipment.
Maintain detailed inspection records and prepare reports on equipment condition and safety issues.
Assist with the investigation of any lifting incidents and recommend corrective actions.
Stay updated with local and international lifting safety standards and regulations.
Qualifications:

Educational Background: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Certification: Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) certification.
Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years of hands-on experience as a lifting operator, with a demonstrated history of inspections.
Skills and Competencies:

In-depth knowledge of lifting operations and safety standards.
Strong attention to detail and an analytical approach to equipment inspection.
Excellent communication skills to liaise with site teams and provide guidance on lifting operations.
Ability to prepare clear, concise reports and maintain accurate inspection records.
Commitment to safety and risk management in all lifting operations.
